When you grow up in one city and spend your entire life there, panoramas like this awaken something deeply personal. You enlarge the photograph and begin to “walk” across it with your eyes, moving from place to place. Every path, tower, or bridge, every tree, terrace, or rooftop brings back a fragment of childhood — a meeting, a scent, or a scene long forgotten.
You look at Kalemegdan, the Sava winding below the walls, you recognize a building, a light, a small street… and all of it together becomes a kind of time machine.
