Within my ongoing Roof Art project, where rooftops become unexpected gallery surfaces, this scene captures a fleeting moment in which construction work dissolves into pure abstraction.
Seen from above, the logic of building disappears, and what remains is a visual composition: the geometry of wooden panels, the rhythm of corrugated metal, and the sharp, elongated shadows forming a deliberate interplay of shapes.
The workers on the roof — each focused on a different task — appear like small figures arranged across a monumental mural. Their gestures introduce movement into an otherwise rigid industrial structure, while the blue tarp cuts through the composition like a bold brushstroke across an already organized grid.
This contrast between strict architectural order and the human presence is at the core of Roof Art. From the air, even the most ordinary job becomes an abstract painting about structure, balance, human effort, and the hidden aesthetics of places we pass by without noticing.

U okviru mog ciklusa Roof Art, u kome posmatram krovove kao neočekivane galerijske površine, ova scena otkriva trenutak u kojem se arhitektura i ljudski rad pretvaraju u čistu apstrakciju.
Iz vazduha, građevinski proces gubi svoju tehničku logiku i postaje slika — geometrija ploča, ritam metalnih talasa i oštri trouglovi senki rade kao da su deo jedne pažljivo komponovane kompozicije.
Radnici na krovu, svako na svom zadatku, izgledaju kao tačkasti junaci neke ogromne muralne skice. Njihovi pokreti i položaji stvaraju dinamiku unutar rigidne strukture, a velika plava cerada deluje kao spontani potez četkice preko uredno organizovanog rastera.
Upravo ta suprotnost — stroga industrijska forma naspram ljudskog dodira — ono je što me najviše privlači u ovom projektu. Iz ptičje perspektive, najobičniji posao postaje apstraktna slika o redosledu, odnosima, ljudskoj energiji i strukturi sveta koji svakodnevno prolazimo a retko vidimo.
