Product Description
In August 1992, a large-scale exchange of war prisoners between Serbian and Croatian forces was carried out under the operation known as “All for All.” The exchange began in the village of Sarvaš, where several buses containing Croatian prisoners were assembled, and continued toward Nemetin.
This photograph was taken inside one of the buses during the transport of prisoners. It shows exhausted men with bowed heads in a confined space, under military supervision. The interior scene documents the physical and psychological condition of prisoners immediately before or after the exchange.
The event was one of the more significant organized prisoner exchanges during the wars in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992. The image serves as a documentary record of a single moment within that process, without insight into the individual outcomes for those depicted.
