The City as a Sign

This photograph is part of the series A View of Belgrade.
There are days when I spend hours flying above the city without capturing a single image worth keeping. Everything appears already seen, exhausted, without energy — as if Belgrade, on that day, had turned into a copy of itself.
And then, without warning, a moment like this emerges.
Within the span of a few hours, several frames reveal themselves — images that insist on being seen.
Alongside the previously presented tennis court, I present this image: a New Belgrade courtyard reduced to pure geometry and color.
Intense red. Cutting lines. A courtyard that, when seen from above, resembles a sign more than a place to live.
A small black dog passed through the scene, but I chose to leave it for another time — perhaps when this space is filled with the sound of children at play.
