What the Map Cannot See

          At this location, Google Maps still shows the building as it was about ten years ago — clear, completed, seen from the street.

          In the meantime, the building has changed.

          But this cannot be seen on the map. It remembers a single moment and remains within it.

          When viewed from above today, something else appears. The façade recedes, and layers, passages, and lines come into view — elements that remain invisible from the ground. Shadows move across the surfaces, briefly drawing a new, transient architecture.

          The place is the same — yet the image is not.

          The map is delayed.
          The photograph arrives on time.

          Na ovom mestu, Google mapa još uvek pokazuje zgradu kakva je bila pre desetak godina — jasnu, završenu, posmatranu sa ulice.

          U međuvremenu, zgrada se promenila. Ali to se na mapi ne vidi. Ona pamti jedan trenutak i u njemu ostaje.

          Kada se sada pogleda odozgo, pojavljuje se nešto drugo. Fasada se povlači, a u prvi plan izlaze slojevi, prolazi i linije koje se sa zemlje ne vide. Senke prelaze preko površina i na kratko crtaju novu, prolaznu arhitekturu.

          Mesto je isto — a ipak nije ista slika.
